A collection of saints
Hello Rosary lovers! In this post, I would like to share with you some inspirational Catholic saint quotes.

We are so spoilt for choice in the Catholic Church. We have so many saints, so many examples to follow, so many writings and so many quotes from so many wonderful people to inspire us.

Here is a selection of some quotes I found on the internet from Catholic saints. Many of these quotes are well-known and well-shared throughout the internet, but this page was admittedly especially helpful.

‘The reason for our existence is to quench the thirst of Jesus. When he asked for water, the soldier gave him vinegar to drink—but his thirst was for love, for souls, for you and me.’ – St Mother Teresa

‘Since Christ Himself has said, “This is My Body,” who shall dare to doubt that It is His Body?” – St Cyril of Jerusalem

‘The nation doesn’t simply need what we have. It needs what we are.’ – St Teresia Benedicta (Edith Stein)

‘Christ with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort me and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.’ – St Patrick

‘You cannot be half a saint; you must be a whole saint or no saint at all.’ – St Therese of Lisieux

‘Nothing great is ever achieved without enduring much.’ – St Catherine of Siena

‘The saints did not all begin well, but they ended well.’ – St John Vianney

It’s never too late to try to become a saint.

All you need is the determination to become one.

Just pray, truly, from the heart: ‘Lord, please make me a saint, whatever the cost.’

‘Hold your eyes on God and leave the doing to Him.  That is all the doing you have to worry about.’ – St Jane Frances de Chantal

One of the best ways to fulfil this piece of advice is by praying the Rosary daily, and even throughout the day.

Another great way is by daily trying to attend Church either for Mass or for Adoration of the Eucharist.

‘To be tempted is a sign that the soul is very pleasing to the Lord.’ – St Padre Pio

‘Never be afraid of loving the Blessed Virgin too much. You can never love her more than Jesus did.’ – St Maximilian Kolbe

One of the outstanding marks of a saint is someone who loves the Virgin Mary a great deal.

‘If God sends you many sufferings it is a sign that He has great plans for you, and certainly wants to make you a saint.’ – St Ignatius of Loyola

Suffering is also a great mark of a saint.

‘Jesus, help me to simplify my life by learning what you want me to be – and becoming that person.’ – St Therese of Lisieux

‘It would be easier for the world to survive without the sun than to do so without the Holy Mass.’ – St Padre Pio

‘The Mass is the most perfect form of prayer.’ – St Pope Paul VI

‘Every Holy Mass, heard with devotion, produces in our souls marvelous effects, abundant spiritual and material graces which we, ourselves, do not know…’ – St Padre Pio

‘The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.’ – St Pope John Paul II

‘Who is Jesus to me? Jesus is the Word made Flesh. Jesus is the Bread of Life. Jesus is the Victim offered for our sins on the cross. Jesus is the sacrifice offered at holy Mass for the sins of the world and for mine. Jesus is the Word – to be spoken. Jesus is the Truth – to be told. Jesus is the Way – to be walked. Jesus is the Light – to be lit. Jesus is the Life – to be lived. Jesus is the Love – to be loved.’ – St Mother Theresa

‘He who devoutly hears holy Mass will receive a great vigor to enable him to resist mortal sin, and there shall be pardoned to him all venial sins which he may have committed up to that hour.’ – St Augustine

‘The best way to economize time is to “lose” half an hour each day attending Holy Mass.’ – Blessed Frederic Ozanam

Daily attendance at Holy Mass is the surest – and probably easiest – way to become a great saint.

‘Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a statement that I would gladly sign with my blood.’ – St Louis de Montfort
